Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

It was so crowded at the last weekend before Tanjong Pagar Railway Station was closed... I wanted to take a picture from the outside too.

Historical KTM Train at Tanjong Pagar Station

It was mommy's 1st trip to Malacca. The historical moment... gong gong felt that the train was more comfortable than car or bus. Cos during those days, there was no expressway. It would take 6 hours drive on winding road all the way to Malacca. I guess mommy was only 2 months old at that time!!

Train Trip to Kluang

We took the KTM Train from Tanjong Pagar Station. We're a part of history... haha! The Tanjong Pagar Station will be closed coming July 2011. It'll be our 1st and last train ride from this station.

The train passes by Little Skool House at Alexandra Hospital. I've been seeing the trains passing by my childcare centre since I attended the school when I was 3. Now, I'm finally seeing the school from the train's view. It passes by the school so quickly! Can you see LSH? It's the white 1 storey building with a blue slide beside it... I'm so happy to see LSH!!

Kluang

We have finally reached. After 2 and a half hours train ride. But in between, we did stop for customs clearing at Woodlands Checkpoint though. And there were stops in between. Daddy and I went out at one of the stops, and there was no warning and the train started moving. We ran to get up the train. Phew!!
The infamous Kluang Rail Coffee. There are 3 branches there in Kluang. Well, the toasted bread here is comparable to those at Sin Ming Drive in Singapore! I love the toasted bread in Singapore...
The肉骨茶is good. We saw alot of familiar faces from the train eating there too. It comes with yam rice too. We took a taxi with Malay driver, so we circled abit and asked around to get to this place.

UK Farm

We proceeded to UK Farm after our sumptuous lunch of Bak Kut Tei. We took a 'pirate taxi' to UK farm and back. It cost us RM100 just to go visit this place. It'll be good if UK farm can provide their own transport to fetch visitors from the train station or city. Hmmm... I shall write them a suggestion... :) The UK Farm is really huge. We took a bus ride to tour the farm. Interesting, it included feeding the ostrich, little and baby goats. I think little goat is called kid? We saw real tree houses where the tribe people stays at night. These houses are made of bamboos, dried leaves and tree bark! We also had 1st hand experience on their huge traps and how they catch tigers! And lastly, I even took a pony ride...

Look! It's goat milk ice cream. The weather's really hot. So we bought a tub to share.
My first pony ride... I was worried, and I asked mommy to walk beside me though the whole ride. I enjoyed the ride!

Home Sweet Home

The 'pirate taxi' driver recommended this restaurant in town. The crispy duck is really good! Loved how well the crispy duck went with the steamed bread. And we ordered another basket full of bread! The shop name is "Star Coffee House and Restaurant". Next time, we could drop by here for lunch before heading to Malacca! Haha!!
It was an enjoyable and tiring trip. We took the 7.30pm train back. Really nice experience. The people had 'kampong spirit'! One auntie in the train treated us banana, home grown ones she emphasised! When we reached Singapore, it was night time. I could not see LSH in the dark... though I had waited despite my tireness. Immediately after we passed AH, I fell asleep and daddy carried me all the way home..... :)
